Hi there! I´m back with a short post about our time in the Amazon Rainforest. Here we stayed at EcoAmazonia Lodge in the Tambopata National Reserve. So this trip started with a flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado and continued with a two hour boat ride to the lodge. Once there, we started with a small hike to the Caimán Cocha lake were we were able to observe some caimans.
On the next day, we left the lodge at 6 am and did a 7 hour
hiking/paddling tour to an observation deck and to lake Apu Victor.
Here we saw monkeys, exotic birds, turtles and butterflies.
On our last day we visited monkey island were we saw Maquisapas and Capuchins in their natural habitat. I totally loved the experience but with limited electricity and lots of mosquitos, after three days I was happy to say goodbye! ;-)
