Linderhof Palace, Germany

One of the nicest things about living in Bavaria is surely the proximity to the mountains and to all the beautiful castles and palaces. And one of those palaces is Linderhof in Ettal, which belonged to King Ludwig II of Bavaria (1845 - 1886). Originally the palace was a hunting lodge where young Ludwig spent a lot of time with his father. Years later, King Ludwig II decided to reconstruct the hunting lodge and transform it to the small palace like it stands today. 

Inside the palace, all rooms are richly decorated in the style of Neo Rococo.

The garden around the Linderhof Palace combines the bonds of Baroque and Rococo but also typical aspects from English landscape gardens with groups of trees and winding paths.
