Vila Velha State Park, Brazil

The Vila Velha State Park (Parque Estadual De Vila Velha) is about 90 km (56 miles) northwest of Curitiba and very unique with its incredible sandstone formations caused by olcanic eruptions and weather erosion over millions of years. It is perfect for a day trip when you are staying in Curitiba or in the area around.

Once you arrive at the park, a bus will take you from the parking lot to the tracks where you can observe the formations and enjoy the fauna and flora of the park. And except for the snakes (which you might see during your walk) it is really awesome!!!
